Festive workshops

Join me for a festive workshop in my home this December.

1) A festive candle & wreath making workshop with Studio Milkwood.

Join me for a festive afternoon of crafting and cake with the lovely people from Studio Milkwood. I have taken two workshops with Studio Milkwood and love this company. All natural scents and materials, organic where possible, with really interesting discussion about scent and memory, plus you get the make a beautiful scented candle too.

“Milkwood workshops are an introduction  into the process of using essential oils and natural wax to create botanical candles. We will discuss why we think using natural ingredients in the home is so important, the difference between fragrance and essential oils, different wax types and how scent  stimulates the olfactory system evoking old memories and helping to create new ones. We will then guide you though making your bespoke scent blend and hand pouring your own candle to take home. For this festive workshop, we’ll be looking into why certain essential  oils are used at this time of year and you'll have the option to create your own Yuletide blend.”

Next I will take you through the process of how to make your very own organic, asymmetrical herbal wreath for your home (no foam or plastic here), that will smell and look gorgeous. I’ll walk you through making the base, selecting the foliage and herbs, and the various different ways to attach it. I’ll demonstrate how to make a greenery garland too, and we’ll go on to discuss styling them in our homes and some wider Christmas styling ideas. We’ll chat more widely about having a more mindful eco Christmas too.

This is for you if :

  • You’d like to make a beautiful scented candle for your home.

  • You want to learn how to make a beautiful herbal Christmas wreath for your front door or home (a skill for life!).

I’d love to see you there. It’s on Saturday 8th December, 10.30-3.30
