The first of April ushered in the second quarter of the year. Three months of 2019 have already passed (whaaaaat!) in what has been for me a time of hibernation and sliiiight burn out. How have they been for you? The Spring equinox has also just passed and we are officially in Spring. I realised today that I feel so grateful that it is not winter anymore. When I was in it, I was pretty good at embracing the good parts and enjoying the quiet season, but my god am I happy to feel Spring on my skin, in my bones and in my energy levels. I feel so much more ready to take on life. I have also been reviewing the goals I made in January.
Whether you made your goals in January of this year, or long ago, this seasonal shift is such a wonderful, ripe time to check in on and nurture the goals you made , and plant some new ones too.
Spring is an amazing, natural time for this process I reckon. I’m a planner, a list maker. I always have been. I adore new stationary and apps and am a hardened journaller. My dreaming and planning process has had the most incredible affect in my life; my mental health, my marriage, my work. This was a personal process for 8 years before I released it more widely and since then it has helped hundreds of others too. As part of my life book planning and review process, I check on my goals at each quarter point and celebrate/adjust/park/pivot them, as necessary.
I have been going through the process myself, as have alumni of the Life Book e course which finished in March, and as usual it has been incredibly revealing. I am both where I thought I was in some areas and definitely not in others! And that’s cool. There is no pressure, no beating myself up, in this process. In fact I have been celebrating my wins- something I wouldn’t think to do without this check in. I have stuck to my self care goals amazingly well. I’m running 2-3 times a week and have been prioritising sleep and rest too. My content goals were a little too ambitious so I’m rolling them over to this quarter! I’m feeling focussed and clear about what I want to do next and generally pumped! I have created a freebie for you to guide you through the process, so whether you made a goal in January or further back and you’d like to check in with it, this works.
I made a free kind goal checker guide for you!
I have created a totally free kind goal checker guide which covers how to check in on a goal you made in the past (whether that was January or otherwise) and gives guidance on doing your own soulful quarter point review of your life. Aaaand I also made a printable too which you can get by filling in the form below.
My whole thing with this guide, and the wider Life Book process of which it's a part, is offering ourselves radical kindness. So much goal setting talk is based on beating ourselves up, and lacks a wider look at our bigger picture and our “why”.
But my process Is kind, flexible, dream based but ultra ultra practical.
Get yours below.
It looks a little something like this. (am I proud of myself for creating these graphics?! Hell yes. I have overcome so many tech hurdles in the creation of this offering! Go dyslexic meeeeee. )
Happy Goal checking.
I’d love to know how you get on!
