Hannah here. I am a little obsessed with the ever changing moon. Sometimes bright and clear, sometimes small, dark and mysterious; I love her cratered, imperfect face. I am thrilled to pass on this little obsession to my offspring, who will happily go on 'adventures to the moon' with me before our morning porridge.
Tonight, June’s Full Moon will be shining in all her honey coloured glory. Also called the Rose or Strawberry Moon, it will hang low and loom large, in a (hopefully) clear, calm night sky. It was also incredibly beautiful last night, did you see it? I was hanging out the window and silently counting the craters and mountains of the moon, which were visible with just the naked eye; it was so clear.
My friend told me about tonights moon this morning (a good friend), and I decided to tell you about it too, interrupting our planned blog post for today. My mister and I will be in the garden tonight, with blankets and wine, and perhaps something sweet and decadent, quietly celebrating the Strawberry Moon. Will you? How I wish we were camping tonight! Or brave enough to rouse our sleeping toddler from her bed to see it. (I'm not).
P.s Its not too late to make a little Fathers Day gift if you haven't already- see this weeks posts for inspiration.
P.P.S I am chuffed to have been accepted as a Huffington Post blogger this week, my first piece is up now ! Eeek!
