I've mentioned this in passing and but I wanted to dedicate a whole blog post to announcing that the Seeds and Stitches Embracing The Seasons Calendar is heeere! Eeek! I'm excited and also nervous to tell you more about it! Emilie, the wonderful illustrator who does the Sunday Supplement, and I dreamed this up months ago and have been busy working on it since then, and we are both so pleased about how it's turned out! We've already had a flurry of sales (thank you lovely people!) but I wanted to tell you a bit more about it.
I have wanted to create a calendar which pulls together the best of the Sunday Supplement into one beautiful item, which helps to connect people to whats happening outside in a practical, inspiring way, for years. I finally contacted Emilie about it and thankfully she was so on board with the idea and began scribbling away immediately! The result is a gorgeous calendar which is beautifully illustrated, with a series of actions at the start of each month. These will hopefully inspire you to take notice of the season, to be a little more mindful, and a little more connected to what's happening outside, as well as hopefully be a bit more organised too!
It is designed to be spacious and useful inside, with a little space to write key dates, yet compact on your wall. It's really quite sweetly sized! It's also printed on to lush, thick, matt card.
We are also really really excited to be giving 20% of the profits to the new I Do Community. A group brought together by my super inspiring friend Emma Case that enables creatives to give their time, skills and profile to support, raise funds and/or create awareness for various non profit projects and causes. It feels like now is a time to support these initiatives and groups when the world is making seemingly senseless decisions that I cannot comprehend. In fact I've been thinking a lot about what I can DO to spread love and tolerance and this is one of the small ways that we are trying to do that. A practical thing that hopefully enables people to be more mindful and appreciative of whats happening outside, reminders to slow down and take stock of the small, simple pleasures of the season, and giving some money to a cause I really believe in at the same time.
So, please take a peek, and consider us for your calendar needs next year, or perhaps for your Christmas present buying needs too. I will forever be grateful, and your walls will look rather sweet too! Lots more pics of each page here. Alternatively, i'd be super grateful if you could share it in your networks too. Thank youuuu!
