I've been busy with a few new styling projects recently, one of which is the new look book for Maud Interiors, one of my favourite clients. I absolutely loved styling this one so thought you guys might like it too. I work with my lovely friend Kristy Noble a lot, but this shoot was notable because Dave shot it, the second project we have worked together on (This was the first). It's always a bit risky working with your spouse but thankfully both jobs went really well, with marriage in tact and happy clients! We also found that it was a big bonus working with someone you know so well too, communication was much more efficient, and despite a few worries about it, was pretty fun too. It was also amazing to have Karen assisting; we made a really good team in quite tight time constraints!
We shot it at my favourite studio, Green Lens Studio's . I've been working here on an almost weekly basis recently. The rates are really reasonable for small/indy businesses and Yev, the owner, is super lovely too. The space is really versatile with a classic studio set up downstairs with colourama's, and a more 'lived in' space upstairs which is perfect for lifestyle shoots. Lots of lovely aged wooden floors and surfaces.
Here are some of my favourite shots.
We enjoyed working together so much that we'd quite like to do so again and are available if you want to hire a team to shoot your products (but be quick, i'll be on maternity leave from January! I'll share some thoughts about dealing with maternity leave soon- it's trickier this time round!)
