Hannah here: Friends! Oh my! We have so much to share with you! We have never worked harder behind the scenes on some super exciting stuff- we are busy preparing for all the crafting at Blogtacular next week (we'll be in the Creative Genius bar- please come say hi!), we're high from Sisterhood camp last weekend which Hannah helped to organise and did the styling for, plus lots of other work in between- phew! so bear with us while we catch up a bit on it all. We have missed this space though, and all of you too.
I am trying to get better at posting the houses I’ve styled and written about whilst the magazines are out on the shelves, and I currently have 4 features in mags (4! Wow!I feel pretty blessed actually.) So things might be a bit house-focussed over the next couple of weeks!
You know when someones home looks exactly, and I mean exactly, like you hoped it would? When their colourful personality is reflected so accurately in their home you feel like you’re having a conversation with them just by walking into their kitchen or browsing their book shelf? That happened with Zoe’s place. She has the coolest job as community manager at Pinterest and is one of my oldest blogging friends. I was so chuffed when she moved to my neck of the woods a few years ago but we only managed to fit a few gabble filled coffees in before I moved away shortly afterwards. I have been badgering her to shoot her place for ages and we finally got together with Kristy Noble- photographer extraordinaire- last summer. You can read all about the shoot from her perspective in this brilliant (and hilarious!) post here 'what it's really like to have a photoshoot in your house'.
Zoe is a happy soul. Fueled by bright colours, wide skies and caffeinated beverages, she skips through life with a definite glitter-sprinkled step. All of these things are reflected in her gorgeous home. It’s filled with light and she’s kept the walls white, so it feels bright and energised. She's then layered gorgeous textures, bright colours and colourful prints on top, and it feels really unified and relaxed as a result. Mollie Makes featured her place earlier in the year, then used the shots again in its brilliant Social Media Zine. It’s really helpful if you feel like you need tips and it's still available here! I love that Zoe has so much fun with her home, and I hope you do too.
Thanks Zoe for having us for what was one of the easiest and most fun shoots we've done, and to Mollie Makes for featuring it. The feature is available second rights via our agency, Narratives.
