Hannah here - Willow Crossley's book resonated with me immediately. Its pages are filled with images of whimsical natural treasures, styled beautifully, in gorgeous rural locations.
Its text seduces readers with talk of memories of her grandparents green houses and the smell of forsythia on a summers morning, and the wonders of sea shells and feathers. She also offers a few cheats if you don’t happen to live by an ancient forest or expansive beach, so its great for urbanites too.
Willow talks readers through some simple ways to display natural treasures indoors, in a series of tutorials divided up in to captors on Woodland, Flora, Fauna, Edibles and Beach. I particularly love her use of pheasant feathers, and will be badgering my local butcher for feathers from now on as a result, and i can foresee some fern wreathes in my life in the very near future.
Its available in all good book shops (but go for the independent ones if you can!) Or you can win a copy here! Hurrah!
