2014 was a rather adventurous year for for both Davina and I. We began our new blog together in May, Davina got pregnant and had her second child, her eldest started Kindergarten and they embarked on some huge house renovations. I effectively moved house twice, with three months of homelessness in between including 5 dreamy and rather life changing weeks travelling around Europe with our tent. My freelance writer/stylist work has taken off and I was rushed off my feet with deadlines in the few months leading up to Christmas. It was a year of firsts, of risks, of new starts. Exciting! But also draining. So this year, we hope, is a year in which we will build on the foundations we laid last year. A year to settle into things a bit, to learn, and grow.
Emilie designed this free printable/desktop wallpaper for us with this theme in mind, another little gift from us to you. To remind you that everything is a process, that as long as you're moving in the right direction, no matter how small that move is, it's a very noble thing to do. That the process of growing is whats really important.
And similarly, we hope that 2015 is a year of making; the thing that makes Davina and I happiest of all (aside from our families, of course!) Davina hasn't been able to create as much as usual because she has been caring for her new born but is beyond excited to get back to some making in the new year. Similarly, house renovations, deadlines and moving have taken up my making time and I really hope there will be more time for that this year.
Growing and creating. Coincidentally the two key words for our blog, Seeds and Stitches. And the two words that will continue to define what we want for the next year.
There's a lot more detail within those themes which you can see below
Happy New year! And THANK YOU so much for following along. Thank you, thank you. x
