Last week I was guest pinning for Folksy, doing my darndest to dig through the site and find some gorgeous ethical finds (I know, it's tough, but someone has to do it). This year we have agreed with most of our friends and all of the adults in our respective families that we are not buying each other presents which has saved a huge amount of time, money and- most of all- stress! So I was free to pick things out that simply took my fancy. Lucky me! This isn't sponsored, I just wanted to share some of the lovely things I found in my excavations.
The fire tripod sang out at me when I stumbled across it on the Folksy site. Hand made in the UK, It would be a perfect addition for our camping stash (although I slightly object to the tagging focussing only on the blokes, I can kindle a camp fire as good as any bloke, thank you very much!)
We're hoping to tackle the Kitchen over Christmas/early new year and I'm dreaming of open kitchen shelving filled with hand thrown deliciously wobbly ceramic mugs. It would be preeeetty sweet if these Julia Smith mugs could be part of the gang.
Also, THAT kids bobble hat. Just, perfection. And if Frankie gets a new bobble hat then it’s only fair that I get one too, right? (What can I say, I have a weird matchy thing going on with her- an urge I can’t deny)
The lavender bags are designed to nestle under your pillow and scent your dreams with sleep juice. I WANT THEM. All organic and ethical.
You can see all of my picks here.
These things will stay firmly on the wish list for now as we save pennies for house renovations but it's nice to gander. Reality bites. Especially when you face the prospect of tomorrow, in which we need to finish Christmas shopping, do all wrapping, wash and dry clothes, do all packing then prep for and leave on a 4-5 hr drive. FESTIVE CHEER!
P.S HAPPY SOLSTICE! We're sat in front of a blazing fire and surrounded by candles. Spring is on the way!
